All of us go through the recruitment process and have passed many interviews to get a job. However, all of us dreamed of to pass the interview and have such great first impression. The first impression is the most vital thing in any interview. It is the factor that determines being suitable for this job or not.

However, there is another thing that can determine whether you are accepted or rejected in the interview. It is called “Attire”. Attire means the clothes or the dress code that shall be worn in the interview. So, in the following few lines, we will tackle everything about interview’s attire.

What shall I wear for the Interview?

“Simplicity is everything” … Never exaggerate in your clothes. One can wear simple pants, t-shirt, dress, or suit. It means that you’re free to choose what makes you feel comfortable but you shall abide the known standards concerning the attire of the interview. However the following will tackle the preferred attire for both men and women.

For Men:

  1. The two piece suit is an appropriate choice for the interview but the chosen color is so important as well. So, choose colors like gray, navy color, and dark blue will be good for an interview,
  2. Choose a white, a light gray, or a light blue color for the shirt according to the color of the suit,
  3. Clean and polish your shoes well, as even the shoes speak for you,
  4. It’s important to put a perfume but choose a quiet one.

For Women:

  1. Women also can go for a two piece suit as a skirt or pants with a neutral or a navy colored blouse,
  2. The skirt length shouldn’t be that short. It’s length will be good until the knees,
  3. It would be beautiful to wear very simple accessories that match the suit color,
  4. Heels are recommended for the interview.

Conclusion:

Don’t be overdressed in an interview, also don’t be under-dressed. The first impression depends mainly on your outfit. So, if you want that job you know how to get it.
